So I am a little confused, recently I needed to replace my water pump and while I was doing so noticed that my thermostat housing had rotted out and had some pin holes. When looking for a replacement I kept coming across a cast aluminum unit that is quite a bit different then the one I took off the truck. A little more research and I found the one that was on the truck listed for a 92-94 ranger. I am starting to think my truck has had its engine replaced with a newer model year. Does anyone out there have a 1990 2.3 with a cast aluminum thermostat housing? If so how are the heater lines routed? It also looks like it takes a radiator cap on the end of it, is that the case? Pictures would be great as I cant seem to find any images or videos showing that kind of setup. Also, I need to replace the clutch, is there any different between the 1990 version and the 1992 as far as clutch and pressure plate are concerned?
