ah yes and while i was out today i decided to do some measuring.

rocker- 26"
frame-20" at lowest point
front bumper-29"
rear bumper -26"
the wheelbase is 92.5"
width from the outside of the sidewalls is 66"
and the top of the roof is at 77"
this is all with the sagged out leafs springs though it should all come up 4-5"
just posting this up for referance because im going to be dropping my girlfriends truck off at the shop tonight so im going to get a comparison between then and now on the 38.5"s

Been real busy with work latly and getting ready for winter. ( moving vehicles, winterizing the cottage etc) so no, but i did measure for my driveshafts last night so i should be getting them made this week then all i have to do is get those broken bolts outta the tcase mount and yea it should be drivable again.

not quite trail ready but ill be able to rip it down the street. still needs little things like the rear fenders to be tubbed and i have to finish making the new inner fenders up front. then a power steering pump. and it'll be trail ready.

im also trying to figure out if i wanna tear the front end apart again and throw my lockright in before i start testing it and wheeling it or wait.. hmmm

She's only an inch shorter than my Bronco tho mines 80" wide side wall to side wall so I wont be trying any quad trails like you still can, lol.

mines like 77" sidewall to sidewall lol....

not much progress still waiting on my driveshafts to come back. the transfercase mount really bothered me with it being at the same hight as it was on 33s.... so i ordered a plate style mount to redo it all. once again 2 steps forward 1 step back

but at least it'll ALMOST be a flat belly which was a goal for me. other then that its just about finished and yea.... chances are that the lockrights gonna get thrown in lol im not good at letting parts sit on the shelf. which is a big reason why this thing has taken so long. ill get one part and while the trucks down anyways well i may as well do this and this and that other thing and its snow balled...

but! luckily im prety much done with the large purchases on it, so im heading to my buddies farm on friday night to pull and all nighter and get the wheel tubs finished along with the front body mount. then if theres time i will be redoing that transfercase mount as it is really bothering me and i have the other style mount orderd. my driveshafts should be done this week as well

UPDATES!! im finally almost done with the sheet metal work now!

got everything tubbed in and painted. all i have left is make one body mount (power steering box got in the way, if anyone ever wants a toyoyta power steering box in a zuk use a fj62 box it has a fowards swing pitman arm and would have saved me so much headaches.)
power steering pump im picking up thursday, re-do my transfercase crossmember as i dont like mine and throw in driveshafts when theyre finished.

then i do believe that is all of course im sure im forgettign some things. anyways onto the pics

comming into the shop

rust controll

the girlfriend making my rear shock mounts

random weld shot

comming outta the shop after working from 5pm till 4am the next morning then up at 7 to work untill 5pm again.

and my new favourite picture

alright!! updates.

here is the new transfercase mount version 5.0... seriously i hate this thing

but at least i gained my 3.5" back and am like 1" away from a flat belly. and trust me a flat belly is now needed for sure..

my buddy took his 38s back... it sucks

this is why he took them he bought another toy its an 81 yota with a 22r in it unfortunatly its a mutt... 79 transmission, 83 cab, 81 axles, and a 95 tacoma frame. it has a really shitty home made bed on it so we made up a new one. and bobbed it 14 inches and dovetailed it at the same time. then lifted it 3 inches found a set of 4 runner 4.88s and ordered another ring and pinion for the rear and welded it.

ill get more better pictures of the toyota up tommorow. as for my sammi i have it at home again so igsll hopfully be getting my driveshafts in, battries relocated and all the fun finishing things done and be driving it around by the end of the week.

and to top it all off with christmas comming up i cant afford real tires right now.
