1988 factory floor shifter with C4?

88 Ranger....anyone know if there is any way to use the factory floor shifter with the C4? Original trans was the a4ld. Don’t know if I need to go aftermarket or not. Thanks!

The factory floor shifter from a 83-84 Ranger/Bronco II with a C5.

Looks the same as yours but is basically designed for a C4.

I couldn't find a complete one so I used a B&M Unimatic.

I’m actually just looking at a B&M Megashifter, so at least I can see what gear I’m in. Are these things a royal PITA to install BC they sure look it heh.

I’m actually just looking at a B&M Megashifter, so at least I can see what gear I’m in. Are these things a royal PITA to install BC they sure look it heh.
My unimatic was pretty easy. I modified my factory bezel to read what gear I was in (with the decal supplied with the unimatic)
