Hey Gang,
I have a 1984 Ranger 4x4 with an 88' 2.3 Turbo out of a Thunderbird. I am having the engine rebuilt and found out the head is cracked. Does anyone know what year range/models of vehicles would have a cylinder head that would/could work before I go through the effort of pulling random 2.3l heads off of junked vehicles for nothing? I haven't been able to find an 88 turbo 2.3 head available on the interwebs.
This heads' exhaust(?) ports have odd, angled holes, that I haven't seen before. See attached images. I thought I was going to yank the head out of a 93' ranger, but it looks like they are quite different.
Also, are there any other fit up issues I may run into if I cannot find an 87-88 2.3?
