1987 Ford Bronco II Can't get Fuel

Have SIMILAR problem, mines INTERMITTENT.............. SImply PULL the fuel pump relay out, and JUMPER the two BIGGER connections with key ON..... my PUMPS turned ON awhile ago............ smelling GAS of course is BEST indication, and u will hear it big time ( if in low noise area) It would NOT earlier today and had ta tow home, Mine sat for 5 years n mice ate thru the connector wiring at bk of conn, i patched it up good, but now i'll DEF install the new conn tomorrow,, TESTED the RELAY, perfect..................

Be sure the pumps are wired correctly, I believe they can run in reverse.
Also the connector at the tank can go bad, they used to be available at the parts stores.
