1987 Bronco 2, Shenanigan's in the fuse panel. Need help.

I have a 1987 Bronco 2 My parking lights don't work, plus my cluster lights and license plate lights don't work. but the brake lights do work turn signals work I checked all the fuses and they are good. Ive tried everything.

Im also a member of the Bronco 2 corral. But since those years of Bronco 2's and Rangers were compatible I thought I'd ask for advice in this community.

Its usually the Main Light switch thats the problem, it gets it 12volts from a fusible link in the engine bay, not the fuse box

Do the head lights work?

If so then fusible link is OK

The light switch powers parking lights, cluster lights and license plate lights on the same wire, so switch is most likely the problem

Sounds like a multifunction switch problem to me

I'm not sure the multifunction switch has anything to do with the park lamp circuit.

With all park lamps being inop... Ron has told you the single point of failure... Headlamp switch.

Ford ran a ton of power through those headlight switches. A super bad design and a super bad idea. They get hot and melt quite easily. I've seen several over the years that had to have the entire harness cut and a new plug wired on the end, and then a new switch as well. It melts everything together. I own a BII that caught on fire and burned to the ground because of that headlight switch connector melting and shorting two wires that shouldn't have touched.. I bought it to get the transmission many years ago..

I found the problem with the headlight switch the wiring connecter on the back of switch was pulled out a little bit, probably due to going off road made it loose. I secured it with a zip tie it ain't coming loose now. I got lucky on that. Thanks for your advice and thanks to everyone else who helped.

check for heat damage...likely it is brittle and melted/distorted like mentioned...the zip tie may fix the issue but you may be asking for fire as well....had to kick my column off once to put the fire out.
