is this rare? 86 ranger utility bed, 89 mustang intersepter 5.0, aod trans, 1995, ranger 8.8 28 spline, 1998 explorer rear brakes, 2016 ranger master cylnder all in one.

I've seen a 2010 or 2006 that kind of new ranger with a utility bed and I thought it was cool at the time but not as cool as yours...

I use to own a 1990 SSP Mustang. I even owned a SSP website for a few years, but shut it down.

The SSP mustang used the normal Mustang 5.0 engine with an oil cooler. There was no such thing as a 5.0 interceptor. That emblem is aftermarket. SSP Mustang never had interceptor badges. Ford didn't start putting Interceptor badges on Crown Vics until 1992.

The special service package is a convenience package. So with the Mustang, it meant things like;

1 key for everything instead of separate door and trunk key.

Reloxated trunk release button inside the car

Certified calibrated speedometer

When you buy an SSP Mustang, you want to make sure it still has the buck tags on the radiator support, the oil cooler, and the 140 or 160 speedometer depending on the year.

Prior to the 1992 P71 Interceptor, Ford police cares were based off of the Ford LTD Crown Victoria on the P72 fleet, taxi, police production code. These cars used the same engines as their civilian counterparts. Police vehicles generally have suspension and cooling upgrades.

No 'Interceptor' badges.

this reminds me, yesterday I saw online a picture of a texas leo F150. not sure if it was a state or local. I’ll have to look for it again. I did think it was odd a few years back when ohio state patrol started using full-size chevy blazers

Fricken Highway Patrol....

Ya, the OSHP K9 units, commercial enforcement, and traffic reconstruction guys have been using the Chevy Tahoes.

Everything here in Texas is mostly Chevy Tahoes. I've seen a few of the newer Ford Explorers, and Texas DPS has some Dodge Chargers.

You find quite a few Ford Pickups though. You actually find a lot of Ford pickups being used by law enforcement from Texas on west.

now that I think of it, I did see a F150 sheriff truck in a local festival parade, but at the time I just thought it was a seized vehicle that they kept for themselves.

Yep, Ford makes a Special Service Vehicle (SSV) F-150, and a Pursuit Rated F-150.
