Be sure your torque converter is fully seated in the trans. That can cause issues when reinstalling and also cook a new transmission rather quickly..

Yes that has been one of my concerns too. I know it was seated correctly when I had it on the ground, but with all the wrestling I'm afraid I'll pull it forward by accident.Be sure your torque converter is fully seated in the trans. That can cause issues when reinstalling and also cook a new transmission rather quickly..
I can verify this as fact!If you're using a transmission jack sometimes it helps to have 2x4's on either side of that hump to level it out. Those pans are never easy to work around, just makes everything want to roll sideways.
I'm going to try and work on it today. I had some buds come into town for our Dove opener in TN. Got a little preoccupied lol.No updates?
This was worth quoting again.Be sure your torque converter is fully seated in the trans. That can cause issues when reinstalling and also cook a new transmission rather quickly..
I was thinking along those lines as well.I'd use some blue threadlocker on those torque converter nuts..
Pull the trans out and rebuild itHello all,
You all have been a great forum so far, now I need some assistance again.
I have a pretty severe trans leak. It appears to be coming from in between the bell housing and engine block. Maybe the front trans seal behind the torque converter?
I haven't dove in too much yet, just got it running over the weekend, but i'm cutting to the chase with this one and posting video for advice.
See the two youtube videos below:
Any advice is welcomed, not sure if i want to tackle this at home or not.
You obviously have not read the thread.....Pull the trans out and rebuild it
