1984 2.8L gas tank and sending unit

1984 ford ranger 2.8L I recently dropped my 17 gal midship tank, my sending unit is in bad shape, no float and the sock was ripped and clogged and a piece was broken off of it. I can’t find a sending unit for an 1984 ranger but I found one for a 1984 bronco ll, im not quite sure if the tanks are the same or not and if that sending unit would work for my tank, I am replacing the steel tank with a plastic tank also. I also just replaced the mechanical fuel pump with the filter and someone suggested to put a electric fuel pump on also.

BII would be different.

The BII tank has a different shape to it. So, a BII sending unit isn't compatible.

i got the part it’s too long i’m pretty sure it’s for a bronco ll and the tanks have more depth
