Not sure if link will work, Its a commercial for a 1983 ford ranger. I dont remember seeing this one, but then again it was quite a long time ago.

This is true. I'll never forget seeing the 1st commercial for the Australian Ranger Raptor. If you played it back frame-by-frame you could see one truck disappear on landing to be replaced with another.

I thought how odd it was for it to stay “nose high” after the jump, it should’ve gone nose down like a lawn dart from the past.

Hadn't thought about that till now. but your right. It must have been a shell. No engine to drag the nose down.

Its funny how fond ford was of jumping shit back then.

I couldnt watch it all the way through for some reason but i think thats the one where you see the truck pretty quick start to bury its ass end in the sand right as the camera cuts away

Tire looked like it was spinning some, but it didn't look like it was digging. Seemed more like it dropped into a hole.
