The C6 is a mush easier swap. Buy going auto, you avoid all of the balance, pilot bushing problems. The stick is doable but makes things much more complicated.

It will either be a NP435 (aluminum top cover buy shifter) or a T18 All cast steel. If its a stick it will have a married NP205 case.

I had the NP435 in my ranger and loved the granny low. I guess I wont know untill I get it. Is there no chance of it being anything other than the NP205? That means it can be twin sticked right?

Judging by the pics I have of the inside Im gonna guess its the NP435 because of how far the shifter is up under the dash.

Well I got the truck today. It definetly has the granny low. Its a little rough but hey its 31 years old. The trans shifter is bent over to the driver side and its awkward to get into reverse because you have to move the transfer case shifter to the side a little but Im jsut gonna cut the transfer shifter down shorter and put a new knob on it.

I got it home and its sputtering pretty bad. It will crank up and then cut back off. I put new plugs and wires on it today. Im assuming the carb needs to be rebuilt.

1badexplorer do you know what carb it is? I cant seem to find what it should be. Do you happen to have any I could get for fairly cheap?
