find an 05 f250 that was stolen, rallied till the driveshafts burst, set on fire, then flipped over, then borrow a pal's oxyacetylene torch and get yourself a free d60 and sterling 10.5 to rebuild w/ front/rear spools and 5.38's and mount up with f/r 4-links and coilovers!

that's my plan anyways. gonna rebuild over the summer and install next winter and run 40's

With tons you can go alot bigger than 37's. What will the truck get used for?

One tons are expensive, heavy, wide, and heavy and expensive....and expensive, but if you plan on wheeling this thing alot in more than mud it wouldent be a bad idea....

With that said for 37's and mild wheeling, Id go with a d44 and maybe a 31 spline 8.8 in the rear....or a 9" You can get a d44 for about $150 bucks complete, and an 8.8 for less than 100..... Then youll have money left over for the rest of the stuff....

with only 37s on a 1 ton axle the pumpkin will still hang down alot and you lose the ground clearance that you wanted by lifting the truck. you can easily get away with a 37 on a half ton axle especially under a lighter truck.

not trying to say dont go 1 ton im just saying its somthing alot off ppl dont think of. my gf's mom's boyfriend had a 02 chevy 2500 hd on 37s and id say he wasnt much more on ground clearance for the diff then my ranger was on 33s

Check out my build in the "show off your junk" 2001 fullsize ranger. Sounds like it will answer alot of questions. Lol good luck with the build.
