Ive got an 08 xl thats a real stripper. Automatic and bedliner being the only factory options. Ive added fog lights to the front bumper. The problem ive noticed is that the lower part of the bumper seems very flimsy and this part seems to vibrate and bounce as Im driving There dont seem to be any supports for this and it makes the foglights look terrible at night with the bumper bouncing and vibrating creating a strobe effect. Are they all this cheaply made or am I missing some sort of support for the lower section?

i bet you are either missing something or you mounted the lights to the lower valance. the valance is a plastic or rubber part that is just basically an air dam to create a low pressure area behind it for the air going through the radiator to exit under the engine

The foglights are oem replacements that went in the stock location. They replaced the fake vents that were in there before. But youre right that it does not seem like a very substantial place for the foglights to be mounted.I know that the metal support (bumper) that is beneath all the upper plastic has been tweaked before so possibly there is a broken weld on it or something. I figured Id ask if this was a common thing before I started taking the bumper apart.

Trucks that came with fog lights, have a different bumper with support bracket that would help stop the vibrating/strobe effect. I would look at adding some stiffeners in there, or some beefier fog light brackets.

Do you have these?

I was not aware of any special brackets..The ones you have listed are for a Dodge ram. Mine is an 08. I cannot find any listings or part numbers for any brackets. Listings for bumpers do not specify fog lights or not.

Sorry for the wrong link.
Do you have square or round fog lights?
