I honestly don't know for sure. Look legal enough to me though. Lots of vehicles I see on the road have taillights that aren't visible from the side. Should be fine 🤞

Edit: I just looked up the motor vehicle act and it looks like these lights are acceptable.
Tail lamps
4.15
(1)A motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer must be equipped with 2 tail lamps, mounted on the rear of the motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer, that are capable of displaying only red light visible from a distance of 150 m to the rear on both sides of the motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer at an angle of 45° from the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer.

Got my front skid plate built today. Very simple. Should do the trick.

Started building an Explorer rear diff. Im not doing a full build just wanted the more available axle shafts and disc brakes. Im doing a truss, anti-wrap bar, and using stock axle shafts. Ill just swap in my spool and gears from the old axle when im ready.

Went camping for a few nights last weekend in Nakusp and found some hot springs. About a 5 hour road trip from home. Didnt find as much snow as we were hoping but it was still a blast.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I want to do that!

T case was leaking from a couple spots so decided it was time for a rebuild. New bearings and seals going in. Surprisingly everything looks good in there. Should have it back in very soon.

So the t-case has been working great. But now it's time to build a new track bar...oops.

The snow was great this weekend though! Managed to straighten out the track bar with my winch and keep going all day (y)

I finished my new track bar yesterday. 1.25" x .250" wall DOM tapped for a new 7/8" heim and slightly bent to clear the diff cover. Turned out pretty good.

The old one was 1.25" x .188" wall and had a 3/4" heim.

Heading out wheeling this morning. We will see how it goes.

Had an eventful day out and the track bar held up nicely. We got stuck for several hours in the deep stuff. Digging and winching into the night. But it was all worth it. Truck still drove home at the end of the day so that's a plus.

Busted a valve stem off my wheel, busted my passenger side mirror (again) and blew my power steering pump or pressure line. Probably due to heat. Haven't dug into it yet. Wheel and mirror will be fixed by the end of this week but I have to figure out something else for the steering. Might have to give in and go hydro assist with a cooler.. we'll see.

When I was younger... winching on something for hours in chest deep snow might have been fun. Probably not so much for me anymore...

But you keep doing what you do man... love your adventures and thanks for sharing what you do.

I hope to be moving to the great white north myself... 10 foot annual snowfall... ski-doo me please!

Hahah ya I have been strongly considering getting a sled lately. They are a blast. I have a couple friends that are right into it and have been pushing me to get one. I will one day but I have to get over the idea of spending $5000+ on something I can only use 6 months out of the year if i'm lucky. Then storing it for the rest of the year.

Steering parts are on the way! Should be about a month before they arrive.
I'll admit I might have gone a little over board, but if everything works out I'm hoping this is the last steering upgrade I have to do.

AAAND now my clutch is slipping. Not sure why, its less than 2 years old. But it might be time for another upgrade lol. I'm needing a lot of those lately.

So while I wait for steering parts I will be pulling the trans out 🙃

Good thing its the beginning of camping season. I'll throw the RTT on my wifes Jeep while the Ranger is down.
