Hey folks,

My Dad's 2006 Ranger XLT is going into ABS everytime you touch the pedal. He just got new brakes put on by a local shop and has complained to them, they put the blame on a new guy but didn't fix anything. He was told to go to the Ford dealership and get them to diagnose it.

Anyone seen this before? Anything I can do before it starts to cost money?

my ranger went in to the shop about a year ago for a complete brake job for the first time in years, and when i got it back, the abs would kick in at low low speeds. is the truck not wanting to stop or are the brakes just stuttering to the point that you need a change of pants?

In my situation, the abs module had gone bad, but never lit up the abs warning light. A grand later, the abs problem was resolved by a complete replacement of the module. Is the light for abs coming on?
