My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
Good question. When I bought this truck a year ago it had two LED lamps mounted on the bumper which are used as backup lamps only. The original lamps are incandesant brake, sinal and park lights. Attatched picture if of similar LEDs that are mounted on my bumper.
If your brake / turn / signal bulbs are incandescent types then that can be ruled out. I know that on older cruise controls the cruise controller has to sense ground on the brake light wire or it won't engage when the set button is pressed. Reverse lights shouldn't have an effect on the cruise, and as a disclaimer, I'm not real familiar with any trucks' systems past the third generation.

Don't get discouraged, keep beating on it.

The brake pedal "sensor"(part of brake light switch) is 3 wire, 12v, ground, and out to devices
The out to "cruise" needs to be a ground or no cruise

I'll keep beating on it till I have had enough of throwing money at parts that don't fix it, then I'll sell it !! lol
