04 Ranger threw a P0320 code

111,000 miles. ignition Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction. Tried to drive off and it just jumped and chugged. Finally eased off and got home ok

Check the crankshaft position sensor. See if it and the wiring and plug to it are ok. Maybe something got up in there and damaged the wiring to it.
