I've been using the Prestone conventional "green" coolant forever but discovered yesterday when I went to pick up a gallon that none of the places I frequent carry this, they instead offer a cooant for "all vehicles" that claims to be compatible with all coolant types.
I hate change and am always suspicious of so called superior products. And am especially concerned about effects of intermixing products. Even if it is okay for all vehicles, it is just as good for this 18 year old explorer? Will it affect hose life? Is it best to fully drain and replace rather than add some different type of coolant with the existing coolant.
