01 headlights in a 00

Is the switch to the "cool looking" 01 and later headlamps a simple plug and play? Looking at the LMC catalog it appears it would be easy.

I poop in the furnace.
I'm not 100% on this but I believe you also need to change the whole grill as the 2001+ headlights are physically shorter and the grill fills the gap where the orange marker lights were on the older models.

As you can see with the older grill and new headlights there would be a large gap under the lights...

I see your point, I really thought leaving an using the original 2000 turn signal, etc, and not putting a bulb on the 2001 + version. That would fill that gap I believe.
I just like the "vintage "Lucas" look of that 01 headlight. BUT, I think it may be too wide, now that I can compare the two front ends.

the 00 and 01 header panel are also different, headlights mount differently, the grille is different, you'll need to swap the trim under the grille in also. its a bolt in swap but it's kind of involved.
