You know, I could write a Country song about this damn truck! "If I didn't Have Bad Luck, I wouldn't have this damn 97 Mazda B4000!" I think it's possessed, the ODO say's 99,999.4 miles. (23 years old going on 100 in it's crankiness.)
After driving around stop and go errands all Sunday...
My friend has an 2003 ford ranger with a 4.0 v6 she's saying that she is having trouble starting it when there is a passenger or weight in the passenger seat. All it will do is turn over but after the person or weight is moved from the passenger seat it will turn over and and then eventually...
First I want to say I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. My wife and I just finished rebuilding the engine in this truck. It's a 2.3, everything went smooth. New motorcraft coil packs, ngk plug wires, ngk plugs and new injectors. Timing is dead on.. All marks line up perfectly. Plug...
I have a 1990 Ranger 4x4 with 2.3l and the truck won't start. The alternator quit and burned up the plug on the alternator and I replaced both the alternator and the plug on the end of the harness. After the alternator was replaced the truck started and ran for about 3 minutes, then sputtered...
My 1994 2.3L SFI (California only) won't start all the time.
I purchased a replacement motor and did not know enough to look at all the connectors on the harness. The old harness is no longer available.
There is no connector for the cam position sensor on this harness and the motor came with...
So I finished up beefing my tract-bar mounts today, tightened down all my suspension components and was going to take her out on a trail to she how she goes since I just did my first SAS.
Got in and turned the key, nothing.....tried again....nothing. Had no lights, dash lights, check engine...
i tried to clean the engine with Gunk the other day and then washed it out with a normal house water hose. it was giving me a little trouble from there (running rough) and then just got worse. i ran it about 30-60 miles in hopes that i can burn the water that may have gotten in bad places out...

Weird problem.
1998 Ranger Sport
6-cyl, 3.0
2WD, Auto
150K miles approx.
Ok, prior to today, truck has run fine, battery seemed healthy at 2 years old, starter has always kicked through with vigor, and my gauges have given me no indication there is anything wrong with the charging...
OK, So I am new to this site. I recently changed the timing belt on my truck. Now it won't start. It rolls over but won't fire. I have triple checked my alinment markers and they all seem to be alined. Still getting spark and fuel pressure. Any insite would be great.
95 4 banger with about 212,000 miles.
Engine runs OK most of the time.
But from most of the time after a quick short 1 mile or so trip, it will not start back up. Drive about 1 mile and turn the engine off run into the store. About 4 minutes later try to start it back up... and it will not...
I have done a recent top end rebuild on my 2.9L and cannot get it to start. I have replaced several sensors, the fuel pressure regulator and water pump. I cleaned the injectors and purged them with compressed air and a battery. I get good fuel spray from all cylinders in order with the plugs...
