basically, because i don't really have any decent place to work on it over an extended time as fabbing up a link suspension... On the other hand, i mentioned about my friends trailing arm suspension, which would be similar to a radius arm setup, except it would be bolted to the axle with u-bolts?- redrangerry97

99 sd axles?
i have an opertunity to pick up a wrecked 99 sd 4wd for the axles, only problem is its leaf sprung, and that won't work for me, because i'll be moving it ahead 6 inches on the front of my 97 ranger along with the fact i dont readily have a welder to fab up a four-link. my friend has a 69 chevy...- redrangerry97
