    Great MPG ! Just completed trip to NC and GA from MI with city, freeway and lot a of mountain grades. I averaged 27.5 mpg for 1450 mile trip with my 2009 Sport R/C 2.3 5 speed manual. I'm very happy with MPG at this point.:yahoo:

    Have a 2009 2.3 manual and it has some vibration...considered normal because the truck Duratec is not equipped with the balancer shaft as the car's are using to quell vibes. Doc

    heeler, The 2009 2.3 Sport Reg Cab short bed model manual comes only with 3.73 and the auto is only with the 4.10....I had the dealer print out a Vehicle Information Report on the unit and it shows build spec's and window sticker also shows 3.73. Xl and XLT may vary but the Sport is packaged...
  6. 6.5 month review of my 08' duratech ranger.

    Tuff Truck Good little truck for the $$$...had 6 F-Series over the past 37 years and prefer the Ranger's. No problems with 1988 2.9...2004 4.0...2007 4.0 and just bought a 2009...2.3. Seems the 2.3 is a little noisy but like the fuel mileage!:yahoo:

    3.73 Purchased a 2009 Reg. Cab Sport 5spd manual 2.3 with 3.73. The 1st 500 miles avg 23-26 mpg. Currently with 1000 miles getting 28-30 mpg. EPA estimate sticker shows 21-26 mpg.:eek:
