    I'm getting ready to put a 302 in my 1985 Ford ranger. It is 4x4 and manual transmission. I was wondering does anyone know what type of transmission I need to get. I was told the original one won't be able to handle the torque in the 302.

    Ok so I'm trying to replace the pickup coil in my 85 ranger v6 2.8 duraspark. I'm trying to pull that round paddle looking thing out with 2 pry bars but it won't come out n I'm afraid I will break it. I really need help

    My 85 ranger wasn't getting any spark. I put new coil, plug wires distributer cap n rotor and it started right up, ran for 10 mins then died and won't start. I'm thinking the pickup coil inside the distributer. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I hope this works. I will put it in today.
