4.0 swap stumble/misfire under load?
Hi all. I just finished up my 4.0 swap into my 89 ranger. The 4.0 came from a 92 explorer with an automatic. And ran great for the week and a half I drove it until the front seal on the tranny pooped out. Ranger is an 89 5 speed. Starts and idles great, has excellent heat. But when I drive it...- CFaist

Ranger guy from Iowa!
Hi all. New to the forums. I have an 89 Ranger ext cab 4x4 I'm swapping the 2.9 out of for a 92 explorer 4.0 swapped engine/pcm and dash harnesses. Down to the plugs going down the frame rails. Hopefully I'm connecting the right wires. AnD hoping she starts when I get the 4.0 bolted in. Lol- CFaist
