Belt was broke so I diddnt bother with the relay. The breaker bar trick worked! Thanks! Now the belt is on but I can’t get all 3 timing marks lined up at the same time with the belt on. Do they need to be perfect?

Hello all I’m trying to change a timing belt on my ‘97 ranger with the 2.3. I’m having trouble getting the bolt out. My impact won’t move it Anyone have any imput?

I was wondering what the difference is in timing belts ( if any) for the let’s say 90-95 and the 96/97? When ordering a belt I discovered there are different ones. What is the difference?

Buying a 94 with the 2.3 5speed. Pretty much rust free good tires just inspected. Needs a timing belt and that’s an easy job. $600

Appreciate the advise. I’m also looking at a 97 and possibly a 94 today. I’ll keep all of this in mind

Hello all I’ve owned 2 rangers in the past but I’m looking at a 2001 with a 3.0 and 5 speed. It has 195,000 miles and it’s a 2wd. The owner wants $1000. Haven’t looked at it yet but it looks good in the pictures. Should I be concerned about anything in particular?
