My bad, I jumped here from frontpage recents. Mea culpa. I would assume rare '94 cam sensors are Cali. emissions, which I guess do get exported pretty far sometimes.
I just looked in powertrain diagnostics, the 211 flowchart is pretty much quadruple-check your wiring, ICM, ECM.
224 and/or...
OP didn't say 2.3L, but he did say "coilpacks" and didn't correct anyone who assumed 2.3L. '94 2.3L won't have a cam sensor for sure.
I agree with 211, I would expect the crank sensor. 224 is expected for the ICM. If you're sure everything you've mentioned--including wiring and...
I just checked some stuff I've bought lately, and Advance and Autozone are actually pretty comparable. Not sure if that's changed, or I was misremembering, or what.
It usually comes down to if I straight-up need something, I'll be lucky if one of the stores actually has it on the shelf anyway...
Autozone is the cheapest, and open the latest.
The other expensive stores all have their place. Napa sucks, but sometimes has obscure stuff on the shelf. Federated actually knows what they're doing. My Carquest franchise is still run by the guys from before Advance took over.
Advance doesn't...
Torque doesn't directly care what diameter wheels you have. The combined weight comes into play, but mostly it matters what diameter tires you have on them. 305/40R22 is 31-32".
Did you check for rub at steering lock, or only going mostly straight?
Why did they set your camber out-of-spec negative? Even with fixed bushings, your alignment choices for the correct caster would be to add or subtract however much corresponding camber.
In before it turns out to be one of those "alignment" shops that advertises "full 4x4 alignment" but doesn't...
I might throw another MAF at it if the code comes back. It's unfortunate that Motorcraft seems to be discontinued.
I actually have 3 that fit (original to my truck, new Delphi, and original to my '95 parts truck), and they all appear to perform the same day-to-day.
Recent new MAF per first post, although yeah, there are a lot of details to sift through.
That new MAF was already a parts-cannon response in the process of dealing with a separate issue from low MPG. Code 159 was brand, brand new since the last time I posted.
I've still done negative real troubleshooting on this, but I wanted to follow up on something that happened recently:
Amps, real oil pressure, and engine temp all started reading obviously inaccurate on a big trip. Turning lights on and off moved the oil and temp needles, so definitely an...
It's an actual B-Series, a "facelifted" version of what we had '93-down, not a rebadged Ranger. A Ranger would still be a B2300 in '97.
Any info on which years of Ranger spring are cross-compatible, and what the differences are, is probably not applicable.
Long story short, my starter free-spun and failed to engage on the boat ramp the other day, and some of the other guys hanging around pulled me out of the way, then helped me push-start to get home.
Drive gear looks okay. Flywheel looks okay. Spare junkyard starter fires right up. Looks like...
The seller's pic for the "'09" is interesting, because it still uses the original-style center section with the ridges surrounding where the 3-way ABS sensor would go, but it looks like there isn't even a hole there. The go-to ID pic for the '10/'11 axle shows a completely different pumpkin...
Are you still on 87 or running better gas?

EDIT: Predictably, my truck's EEC connector doesn't have provisions for Pin 33 - EGR Solenoid Control or Pin 27 - DPFE Return, so I can't trivially add or attempt to bypass EGR without the EEC connector from a manual donor.
Assuming 12v is correct for the duty cycle signal, and the computer would be happy enough with two discrete values "EGR on" and "EGR off", rather than insisting on a smooth curve, that would be fairly simple. I think you want it the other way around, though: DPFE return voltage should increase...
I've never used it, so feel free to correct me, but before we worry about where to find the EGR delete settings in Tweecer, the program needs to support the computer, right?
Tweecer doesn't list any support for EEC-IV Rangers. It does list the 2.3L in the '93 Mustang. Are we assuming that's...
I know relatively little about engines themselves. Is that because the auto computer runs less timing advance, and that reduces both MPG and power?
I have a manual computer, but '94 2.3L manuals always had EGR, and autos did not. If I swap the computer, I get a permanent CEL, and my...
I put the 29"s on originally because that's the minimum for me to be able to crawl under the truck without jacking it up. The 31"s were the eventual result of only 4.56 gears being available at the time, when I had originally targeted 4.10. I still almost got high-centered in the dirt literally...
There may be some merit to what you're saying. I regeared based on what was on the truck when I got it, which was 215/75R15, and also based on the fact that my jeep is definitely overgeared, and it's awful to drive on the highway at all. Per the door sticker, stock tires were smaller, something...
I feel you. I hate shit that doesn't make sense, and leaving things half-done, as much as the next guy. At the same time, there are only so many hours in the day.
For me, having been inside the trans and the noise going away with the clutch in makes me comfortable enough with the idea that it's...
