That might be the issue, maybe I’ll just raise it. I also would be open to upgrading to a new aftermarket flatbed if anyone knows a good company that makes em. I’ve looked a little and I’ve only really found ones for like F250’s and what not.

Looking for a short bed and tailgate. I have an 88 ext cab 4x4 with a flat bed on it. Unfortunately with 33” tires, the flat bed is extremely limiting to suspension travel. Idk if other gen II ranger beds fit on the 88 but I would assume they would. I’m in AZ so anything close is ideal.
Ahhhhhh, gotcha. That makes sense. It has an electric transfer case in it now, are those plug and play/ is it a pain to keep it that way? Or is it better to get a manual one?
