i am going to nix my RABS unit to get my rear brakes working again. i dont have $130 to drop on this thing at the moment, so i'm just going to replace it with a short piece of brake line.
anyone know what the threads on the RABS unit are?
i bought a used hitch from someone on RPS...
he took it off his 03 fx4 i believe.
i'm trying to put it on my 89 single cab long bed.
the hitch is a little too narrow to bolt up... were there width changes between years or did UPS manage to bend this thing? the box was mangled but i figured...
i took my 89 out tonight, made it a couple hundred yards down the road and noticed my battery light was on below 1500rpm. then i saw my battery gauge... sitting steady at 9v.
great, a dead alt i figure... so i drive it straight home. lights dont seem dim at all... nothing odd is going on...
Like most I'm sure, the headlights on my 89 are REALLY yellowed. I cant see shit!
I'm curious if its worth the $60-70 or so to buy a brand new pair of headlights on ebay... or if I should just get some $20 aftermarket driving lights to tie in with my high beams. I'm adding some yellow fog...

I found a good deal on an ECU from an 86 TC. I know its not the BEST computer to use, but will it work alright with an 88 TC engine? Is the pinout going to be the same? I cant find an 86 diagram anywhere, just the 88. All I found was that the 86 used the 35# injectors (on the motor already)...

i hate the feel of power steering, i always remove it on all of my vehicles. just wondering if i need a different steering box or if i can just unhook the lines, loop them together, and remove the pump.
