    I have a 1996 Ranger that the A/C does not work and has not for 2 years. Bids frrom local a/c shops are from 800 to $1200. Is this a DIY possibility? Gonna need a compressor, Dryer/accumulator, condensor , gaskets and the two inline filters. Plus it will havv to be "purged" - whateverthat...

    Learning how to navigate the Ranger Station web site. Is this how to ask a question. I have replaced the gas tank this week. Old one has a three inch split in it. New tank in. Same fuel pump and sending unit and electrical hookup is the same. Gas gauge now reads FULL and only about 4 gallons...

  3. Help on a leaking gas tank

    1996 Ranger ext cab with a crack in the "plastic" gas tank. Crack on front of tank about 1" long on a corner. Anybody had to deal with something like that before? Any Ideas? ken

    Not a reply,but, a followup. This is my first ranger pickup and just got the licenses and title this week. It has some problems but are being address in some kind of priorty order. Did score a pair of new larger tires for it today. The A/C does not work and the front brake rotors and pads...
