This 99 wiring harness has been full of oddities. Im mashing a 99 and a 2000 into one. Putting a 4.0l in a 3.0l truck. Had to change entire harness and dash. Onward to the www looking for diagrams. Long and winding road…
The 1999 wiring harness that run across the front radiator support has two plugs that I assumed were impact sensors. Not sure now where they go now. Everything else is connected.
I am looking for a wiring diagram indicating wiring for the impact sensors located on the radiator support. My Haines / chilton books do not show these sensors for any year…
I have two plugs on front grill harness that are different, one “left” is triangular the other “right” square… impact...
I purchased a wrecked 99 ranger with a 4.0l it had a EGR. Used it as a donor truck for a 2000 ranger without engine/trans. It had a 3.0l Flex fuel originally. Had to swap entire wire harness, dash because the 2000 was completely different. The 2000 Flex truck only used 2 of the three big...
Opened PCM plug, the position where the brown/pink wire terminates was plugged, as in unused. I unplugged it added a wire and connected the blue/orange wire to a common blue orange. My only question now is….. will the PCM recognize the new wire for the EGR regulator? Still dont understand why...
Checked the chilton. Brown/pink wire from EGR vacuum control supposed to connect to pin 47 on ECM. Opened the loom all the way to ECM plug there is no brown/pink wire. Have not opened the ECM plug yet. This loom did not ever have a wire to the EGR vac regulator. How did the EGR work without a...
I bought a new fuel pump for my 99 XLT 4x4 supercab. It has a return line hose connection. My 4.0 has a non return fuel line. Can I block the return line and not generate a fault code?
I have checked and rechecked but do not have a electrical connector for the EGR solenoid on my 1999 XLT 4x4 supercab. I have removed covering on the wire loom and there are no loose not connected wires. Any ideas about why there is no connector? The loom appears in good shape with no apparent...
I just put a 4.0l from a 99 XLT 4x4 4 door into a 2000 XLT 4x4 3.0 flex fuel. Required putting 99 dash into the 2000. Cab wiring was swapped. Only wiring not swapped was for the tail lights. A donor truck made it possible. There were several changes made between the 99 and 2000 models. Glad its...
What years in the Rangers lineage between 1994 and 2007 are the 6ft fleet sided truck beds compatible… I need a decent bed for my never ending 2000 4x4 supercab project. No regerts…
I am installing a 1999 4.0l in a 2000 3.0l flex fuel Ranger. I know i have to change the fuel pump. I am wondering if there is any changes in the fuel lines. I notice the fuel lines run into a small device in the frame rail that is electrically connected. It’s not the in line filter… i dont see...
Here is a picture indicating location of failed bolt. Also a picture of said bold and a one of the fragments I extracted from a the lower part on the backrest. New’r bolts from a wrecked donor ranger. Not sure of the size. This seems to be a week spot in the seat
After disassembly I found two broken bolts. One on each side of the seat. They connect lower part of back rest to the spring loaded adjuster. Should be easily fixable. Seat foam and fabric is tired and gross. 25 years of ook. Not sure it’s worth it. It will have to do until I find a better option.
It would be impossible for me to be the only 2000 ford ranger owner to have a drivers bucket seat hinge issue. As in the seat back will not stay upright. Finding replacement seats doesn’t seem to be economically viable. Any input is appreciated.
Is it possible to find the infornation stickers that are under the hood relating vacuum line and belt routing. Im restoring a 2000 ranger that was a 3.0l flex fuel putting a 4.0l with a 4.0l. Need 4.0l stickers.
