Wait... I read that to mean with a drill bit in the chuck. That's the thread winner if so. Do you just mean using a drill as an impact? That's all I do. I've never tried an impact cause the drill seems to do just fine for my DIY purposes... except for the few times I need the 1/2" impact. There...
Finally opened my tierods after waiting a couple months for the weather to cool. If anyone ordered a case of grease from RA and only got a single tube, I have your case.
The 3 I use are RA, Carid, and Summit... and of course ebay and amazon it I know the part number. RA is byfar the most likely source for the right part and occasionally the other two will have/know something that RA doesn't. OEM bolts will be tough. Right now I'm looking for 2wd front rotor dust...
Another thing to consider. I’m fairly certain that spring guns require specific “spring-rated” optics. They will damage a “regular” scope, So you can’t repurpose the $1000 scope from your Sako.
If I was real serious about it, I'd go PCP (pre-charged pneumatic). Springers require a delicate hold of the rifle- pretty much opposite from all other technique teachings. The spring accelerates then abruptly stops before the pellet leaves the barrel. I balance mine on a beanbag so every shot...
Plus the Lima is nye un-over-heatable. I've read that they are used for demo derby cars... folks fill the water passages with concrete and they make it through a match just fine. From my experience, I don't think that's hyperbole. I can't get my heater to work if it's <50F. I assume that's...
Excellent! A thread with an ending!
My Benjamin Nitro needed a new trigger group. I didn’t realize it until I installed it, but it made it much easier to shoot. I forget what manufacturer it was.
You can use 100% of the 2.3 Lima in pretty much any situation, which is its own type of fun. Certainly it can be modded to make over 100 hp. Not saying it fits on the list, but I’ve found mine to be very satisfying.
All of the close deaths Ive experienced have been expected due to age and sometimes was the result of a choice of the individual. Those were tough. I can’t imagine a non-expected death. I think that’s something that has to be experienced to fully understand.
I got an umbrella type shade, but my wife stole it. It's takes some practice, but it's easier to use and definitely easier to store. It works plenty good enough too. It doesn't cover the whole windshield in my big truck, but it's worth it for the ease of use. I got one witha flexible handle or...
Something else to note... These are plastic panels. They aren't super rigid. They're probably 3/16" thick plastic. There will be some flexing that the paint will have to be happy with. That's one reason I'm leaning toward the tractor paint. I figure that ought to be tougher than a nicer looking...
