Sorry, but is "The Bluetooth OBD2" a Make/Model of bluetooth reader? I tried looking it up but nothing particular hit. It sounds like you're talking about something specific, but I think I'm missing something here. Can you please clarify what it is you're referring to? Thanks.

Sorry Ron, no can do. If these terms ring familiar bells in the cobwebs of your memory, its not a "Tech1". It's more like a "Breakout Box". Ignition on, but engine off.

Sorry for the late reply Ron. No, it doesn't show any of those, but I think my prior reply may have mislead you a little. You mentioned a BLUETOOTH OBD2 reader. I have a reader for OBD2 but it isn't Bluetooth.

I get that to mount the newer engine in the older truck, you're pretty much looking at completely chaning out the wiring harness & ECM, but what about the reluctor wheel? Is there any difficulty, assuming both hall effects and reluctor are mounted to the harmonic balancer, in changing that out...

Ok, I calculated before on 3.45's, so this time I did some comparisons of 3.73's to 4.10's. If you swap out to 4.10's, change your tires to P215/75R15's and you should be golden....if they still make off road tires in that size.

You're about spot on, with the mileage corrections, Bill. I think if I swapped my 3.45's for 4.10's, my mileage would drop to around 22.5-23 mpg, based on the difference in road speed alone. ...still of two minds whether I wanna do that swap or not. Guess it depends if the truck's future is...

I have one Ron, that's how I figured out the bad MAF sensor I aluded to in my opener. However, if the truck's not throwing a code, the reader is useless.

Sorry for the late update guys, kinda busy today. Anyway, I tried switching the key on and off 3 times, leaving it on for 2 seconds each time. I did this on 3 separate occasions through out the day and it just didn't seem to make any difference. ....guess that means its not a leak down/line...
