I have it 3 weeks & overall I am pleased with it. however there are a couple of things I dont like.

1. going thru the owners manual I see you are to remove the antenna before going in a car wash........really ?
2. I installed vent visors & the window control is touchy, either it closes or opens to far .
3. the climate control set up is not as easy to use as my old 04 Ranger. I dont need a video screen to control the AC or heater.
4. back up camera is mounted in the center of the tailgate, hauling lumber I had to keep the gate down, camera is useless in that position.
5. the truck is a bit high for the wife to get in so I will be installing running boards. boards came from the factory on the 04.
6. the radio is ticking me off, I preset about a half dozen stations 3 times. the list of stations on the bottom of the screen show stations I do NOT listen to.
after going thru the owners manual I cannot find out how to delete those stations & a few of my selected stations do NOT show on that list...wtf !

if anyone could help this old non tech guy out with the radio it would be appreciated.

anyone else have things that bug them on the new Rangers ?

Hi! I’ll trade you my 97 F150 for it straight up and you won’t have those problems anymore.

Simply disconnecting the battery should clear the radio presets. Then you should have a clean slate to put your own stations in.

if your 97 has lees than 1000 miles & comes with a 3yr 360000 mile warranty I will consider it.........
Just barely over 140,000 miles and I’ll give you a 3hr / 36 mile warranty.

(Warranty void if door opened, engine started, key inserted, cup placed in any cup holder or material placed in bed. Do not wash, vacuum, clean windows or sneeze in thus vehicle. 1. going thru the owners manual I see you are to remove the antenna before going in a car wash........really ?

Common, the carwashes with brushes and spinny things eat antennas

3. the climate control set up is not as easy to use as my old 04 Ranger. I dont need a video screen to control the AC or heater.

XL/STX has basic HVAC controls.

4. back up camera is mounted in the center of the tailgate, hauling lumber I had to keep the gate down, camera is useless in that position.

Pretty common location

5. the truck is a bit high for the wife to get in so I will be installing running boards. boards came from the factory on the 04.

Always been optional

6. the radio is ticking me off, I preset about a half dozen stations 3 times. the list of stations on the bottom of the screen show stations I do NOT listen to.

dunno about that

I’m glad I got the XL with the STX package. Nothing like a computer controlled infotainment and climate control system to ruin your driving experience.

I''ve had Fords Sync 3 system with the large panel, in 3 different trucks. Once you get it figured out , its absolutely great.
My 2019 came with running boards, pretty much worthless for me. Truck is fine and serving me well.
