Took a major hit to the pocket today. Had to get a new MSD Starter Saver because my old one decided to die the first time we tried to fire it up after sitting all winter. Not cheap at over $200 CDN.... Also since we have a locked distributor and a crank trigger it won't even start without it.

Turned the lip off one of the brake drums, after fighting with the !@#$!#$ blasted !@#$!#$ sum !@#$!#@$ biscuit to get it off. Shiny area about 4 o'clock in the picture, about a quarter inch wide.

Thankfully (?), on the other drum, a piece of the lower return spring (I think that's what it is) got between the backing plate and drum, and more or less ground the lip off for me. I need to either rebuild the drum brakes, or bit the bullet and put in disks.

Ive done something like that with nearly every rear drum brake vehicle Ive ever had, bolt the drum on backwards, run the truck in low gear to spin the drum, and while its spinning take a angle grinder and create a 45 degree angle at the edge of the drum where that rust ridge would form. Drums come right off then, every time! Of course its not as much of a issue with my current ranger, since I have no parking brake cables or the self-adjuster hardware I usually pull the drums at least once a year to manually adjust the brakes.

Ollie (the dog) and I drove over to the park and had coffee with the guys. Beautiful morning, people all over...jogging, walking, biking and just sitting.

Almost seemed like the world was normal again.

Everything you saw was computer generated graphics. All an illusion. All a lie.

So far this year I have missed all my registrations by more than a month and managed to not get pulled over for it. And I drive right through a main part of PSP Carlisle Barrack's patrol area every day.

I got a lot done today. Worked on the whole fleet.

Explorer got an oil change.
Ranger got the parking brake adjusted
BII got a new window motor.
Mustang got the clutch reset, a new window motor, and a door lock repaired.

Fixed a corrosion issue on the positive battery terminal of the 2011 again. I installed felt discs impregnated with dielectric grease this time and coated the connector and terminal with dielectric grease after it was all back together. The negative terminal perfectly fine. The penny placed in the middle of the terminals is corroding and should be acting as the sacrificial metal but for some reason is not working this time like it has in the past. Hopefully the issue is fixed now.
