I think technically they have two cousins, if not direct siblings of the Vulcan. There's the shop v6, and then I think they made a V8 and possibly one other motor out of the Vulcan as well. Thanks to every one who seemed to correct my statements about the 3.0 Vulcan. Even though I don't think I was wrong in any way, shape, or form. As a long time Ranger owner/Driver, most of my wrenching has been on the 3.0 Vulcan motor. I would not say I'm an expert at all, but I know my way around a 3.0. I don't know anything about a cologne, duretec or lima. OK? I just said it (3.0 vulcan) was an oddball motor, and that the Vulcan has no siblings. It is the only motor in the Vulcan family, whereas the Lima and Cologne motors have more than one.
Somebody around these parts once swore that the rear or front wheel drive Vulcan 3L shares a bellhousing pattern with the 3.8, but I honestly have no idea.
