I've run some of the more exotic ones like the Bosch extended life... Not worth the extra scratch imo.
Bronco graveyard sells a magtech filter adapter. Apparently filters out iron fines. One is going on mine after rebuild just to catch magnetic break-in debris, but that's about it.
If you're looking for ways to extend your oil life, oil cooler helps greatly. But, they too can develop not fun issues.
Feed it a can of ceratec at next change. You'll think you gave it a can of whoop ass 200-800 miles later.
It's essentially just boron nitrate. No, there's nothing else out there comparable. It works it's way into friction surfaces and plates them with a thin coat of boron. Not a silver bullet for anything in particular, but does add a little protection. They claim 30,000 mile intervals. Not sure if it's true.
The other thing is that it's a flat tappet motor. The EPA regulated lower zddp additives a few years back. Lack of zddp does this to your camshaft:
