Uh, this thread isn't about what you did to your finger. It's about what you did to your RANGER.

By the way, I didn't know fingers had :poop: inside them.
Well it is obvios that he fingered his Rangers Axle hole. It went downhill from there.

Not that I have any money to spend during this pandemic... but I was going to make a front skid plate to cover up the lower radiator on my truck. AOR has 15% off for 2 more days and after buying materials and spending the time to make it... I just ordered the front skid plate from them. Clean it up... paint it... bolt it on. For $157 it was a no brainer...

If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Put in a orders for Drums, Shoes, Hardware kit, Fuel filler neck, Water Pump, Timing set, Timing Cover Gasket set, both Power Steering lines and a replacement tarp for my tonneau cover that kid cut with a razor knife. The power steering lines looked crusty so I'll just replace them and not worry about doing it again any time soon. Went out to Harbor Freight and picked up a harmonic balancer removal/installer kit, a battery powered 1/2 drive impact gun ( I've wanted one for years to get away from air powered), another 28" breaker bar and a ball joint splitter ( non pickle fork style). I also made sure that the rubber joints on the steering intermediate shaft on the truck are good, which they are, so no need to rebuild one for the steering box install. While I was looking it over I also confirmed 6 body mounts for the cab so I can order the cab mounts, on this one I am still looking at them and searching for the best place to get them.

EDIT: Just put the order in to Jegs for the body mounts so all done parts ordering for now...

Drove the 2011 for the first time since the rear sway bar install. It makes a noticeable difference in handling. I like it.

Received the first box of parts: Water pump, Timing set, Timing cover gasket set, Power steering lines, Distributor cap and Rotor. Still waiting on rear brake parts so while I have it apart I can change the rear tires back over to summer tires.

My stepside build moves under its own power so I'm putting it on the back burner for the moment. I have a 15 gallon water tank and pump to install in my Explorer, and my crawler needs bushings in the front end real bad. Hopefully I can get that wrapped up this weekend.

Here's the deal with the water tank. I have a camp shower that consists of a Zodi heater, a shower tent, and a floor mat thing and have been carrying 7 gallon water jugs in the back of the Explorer when we go camping. Works fine but I hate unloading them and spilling them. Now that I have my spare tire carrier bumper, I don't need a tire in the factory location which leaves me a ton of room to work with... I found a 12x12x24 RV water tank that fits in there real nice. I'm going to fill it through a hose mounted by the fuel filler neck, and I ordered a 12v on-demand water pump with adjustable pressure. When I want to use the shower, I will circulate water through the heater and back into the tank until it's up to temp, then unhook the heater and run water straight from the tank through the pump to the shower head.

A familiar sight

Don't need none of that business. Up until now, literally EVERY piece I've added to this truck has been 100% bolt on parts... and there are a LOT of them. Felt weird sawzalling the spare tire mount out.

I made a cardboard template to make sure it fits, and it does...fits very well. Filler hose should fit between the frame and body easily and I think I will mount the water tank to the body itself rather than the frame... that way when the frame and body flex, I don't run into issues of the tank hitting the body. If it's mounted to the body like I am envisioning, it will basically just float in that spot.

Tons of clearance. I could drop it a couple inches and still not hang as low as my old spare tire did.

I also have a lot of room for the pump and filler/vent/supply hoses on the side.

Mostly wired up the OHC and tested function the best I could.

Tomorrow hopefully I can get it installed.

Pretty sure he wants it opened up back to bronco specs.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I'm sure Rocky is thrilled as long as he is with his two best buds.
