2 questions, wiring experts post up

It’s been 30 years since I took basic electronic principles but that’s what I did. Wired the headlights via relays directly to the battery. I have a toggle switch for the low beam relay and a floor switch for the highbeam relay. Eventually I want it to work off the factory switch.

2 questions, wiring experts post up

If I’m blowing a 10a fuse every 4th time I use the switch on a circuit (18g wire, rated for 13a-15a) that’s only drawing 1.43ma… and removing the switch fixes the problem then my problem is this Jegs GM style floor mount highbeam switch right? next question. How do I use the stock headlight and...

Detroit Axle vs TRQ vs DIY Solutions

Yeah I can’t find any not fake reviews on DIY Solutions. I got the shafts out and they are straight so I’m just going to replace the u-joints. Anybody ever use this tiger u-joint tool and the u-joint press? Because my vise with hardened impact sockets is not going to press these u-joints out…...

Detroit Axle vs TRQ vs DIY Solutions

Replacing the front Axle shafts and wheel hubs on my 2500 Ram. The Detroit Axle stuff is $101 more than TRQ or DIY. I’ve never heard of DIY and I can’t find reviews. TRQ is like Russian roulette… sometimes you get a good part, sometimes you don’t… Detroit Axle is supposed to be the good stuff...

    Spark plug question

Spark plugs are changed. We had to use a cheater bar on the back 3. So new coils, new spark plugs. Cleared the codes, did the relearn. Runs like new again. the rear 3 plugs were so bad I don’t think the dealership changed them at the 200,000 mile service. I think they only changed the front 3...

    Another S10 question

First off… I apologize for the Chevy questions on a Ford site but over the last 20 years I have learned that if I can’t find the answer (vehicle related) on this site then the answer doesn’t exist. Second… I appreciate you guys answering my questions. Third…. I hate going to that S10 forum...

    Spark plug question

I was warned against trying to decoke and engine with this many miles so I didn’t do it. I pulled the 3 plugs from the front of the engine. They need to be replaced. The spark plug in the photo is number 6 but that is what they all look like. moved the number 6 coil pack to number 4 and number...

    Spark plug question

I’m going to be back working on it tomorrow. It’s been too cold and dark when I get home from work to mess with it. The other 2 plugs on the front side of the engine turn with a little effort and the spark plug socket is new (well, 4 years old but it’s the first time I’ve used it). I’m going to...

    Chevy S10

He got $300 scrap price for it. He’s been driving my Jeep to work while he saves for his own car since my brother gave me his Camry (long long story, 347,000 miles and has only been serviced by Toyota)

    Chevy S10

My GF’s truck is up and running again. For whatever reason GM put the caliper bracket bolts in with red loctite. I couldn’t even budge it with heat and there is no room to get a socket and impact on the top bolt without taking the upper control arm out. I finally had to cut the bolt heads with a...
