i have a t5 clutch and flywheel from an 88 mustang whats the easiest way to hook up the clutch i saw you can use a 280zx slave cylinder with a mcleod adaptor anyone know the part# on that adaptor or is there away to not have a hydrolic clutch id perfur a cable clutch

no one know the part number for the adaptor too put a 280zx slave in it

That slave is from an '83/'84 ranger diesel. It uses the second of the adaptors I posted, same as master cylinder. It's the same idea as the Nissan/Datsun slaves.

Rangers '85 and up used an internal slave, mounted with the throw out bearing.

Just make it, with a piece of angle iron bolted to the belhousing.



Or are you talking about the clutch line?
If so, I used these connectors to a -3AN braided line.

I'm doing the same swap here over the next few weeks on my 2000 Ranger 2WD so this thread is very helpful. The summit link you provided results in a "404 error" as the page is invalid. Is this an old web link? Do you just have the part numbers and brand names?

The adapter for -3AN stainless line to the factory Ranger master cylinder is from Russell Performance p/n 640281 or under Summit p/n RUS-640281. At the other end, you'll need an adapter from the -3AN to whatever slave is used. It might take the same 640281 for a stock Ford slave or a different adapter to match the -3AN to the slave's threaded port.

I was told you have a 2WD 88 Ranger with a solid bar automatic transmission crossmember?
Do those work okay or is there an issue with vibration and fit?
My crossmember in my 88 extended cab is toast and I need a replacement.

Reviving this thread...

I've got the 5.0 sitting in my 2000 Ranger and I'm going to be installing the T5 this week. It's got the Chevy S10 tail housing and top cover conversion to move the shifter forward.

My question is if anyone out there knows of a speedometer cable plug for the S10 tail housing? I see that Summit Racing and about everyone else sells a 99+ Mustang plug, but nothing for Chevy except early TH400 and Muncies. If you guys know of any available, it would be appreciated.

Not aware of a plug... Should be easy to make ? Find yourself a Chevy cable to cut and seal?
