When driving on the hwy or any speed over 20 mph I get this HORRIBLE vibration from bottom/front, And when I switch the 4x4 knob from 2wd to 4x4hi while driving it quits vibrating. My hubs are released, oil to correct level. Im confused. I took the front driveshaft off right now, see how she acts later when i go to work. Please help me, im stumped...

Maybe your switch is wired backwards. 2wd is 4wd and 4wd is 2wd? Has it ever had any work on it that this might be possible?

Well I drove to work without the front driveshaft, and still does it. But now it didnt stop vibrating when I switch to 4x4hi...So, I know its not the transfer case. I also locked the hubs and it wont vibrate... Im confused.

my 99 did the samething, it turned out to be the hubs, they were locking and unlocking while driving. I got some from avm and it stopped. Also there is a little clip on the inside of the hub bearing that holds the axle in place check it, it took ford forever to find a part number if you need it shoot me a PM and i will give it to you
