I honestly cant point to anything i hate about any of my vehicles except the cobalt.
Well, now, I think I can guess what you hate about the Cobalt:
  1. It doesn't have a 2.9
  2. It's Front Wheel Drive
  3. It's not a real truck because it doesn't have:
    1. An 8 foot bed
    2. Solid axles
    3. A V-8 engine
    4. a regular cab
  4. It's not a Ford
  5. It's not a Dodge
Did I miss anything?

I hate that it had major issues that forced me to take it off the road.

I hate that it would have cost more to fix than the truck was worth.

How would you tighten a rear window? Not too sure where the bolt is on the door you’re referring to. I’ll try anything once I know how to do it.
Early on all extended cabs had a bolt in rear window and regular cabs were held in by the gasket but with the cab redesign in '98 all rear windows use the bolt in extended cab window but it's the same window used in extended cabs from '86 on... there's 8 little nuts on studs (that take a 9mm wrench) that hold the window in, the window is just sealed with some butyl rope ($16 at autozone last I bought some). Yes, all that is behind the window trim.

The nut I was referring to in the door, if you pull the door panel (T27 for the window crank, screw for the door pull and door handle and I think one more somewhere then lift up). Then peel back the vapor barrier thing and you'll see a channel in the middle of the door, there's a nut on the top of it, while there check all the fasteners for the window tracks, there's one in the front and one in the back.

It was like that when I found it.
I hate that I sold my 83 XLT back in 2002 when I was moving down to MD.

I hated the PVHs on the 98, but easy fix with the manual hubs, I hate the frame rust on the 98 but helped my welding skills a great deal. Guess I'm more of an optimist than I thought...

I hate that after spending many hours cleaning, it can still stink like cigarettes from the previous owner.

Hate I don't have time to address that and other issues.

Can one take the upholstery off the seats and throw them in the washing machine?

What is the best way to wash them? Should one line dry them?
I’ve never done it. A buddy of mine washed his. All I know is it came out good.
He’s a member here, but hasn’t been on in long enough that it won’t let me tag him. @steev

I have washed mine a few times. I used regular laundry detergent, and went to the laundromat for a heavy machine for a good cleaning. Either used low heat for about 20 mins or put them in the sun to dry. Sun dry is the best way to dry them.
