the only mustang body i love is the original 64.5, 65, 66 models. once they went to the change in 67, i didn't want that one.

my grandpa had a 64.5 in the garage for my whole life. it sat under a tarp with junk stacked on top of it. my cousin and i would uncover it when we got to visit them and sit in the seat and act like we were driving it. it was 6 cylinder automatic. i was lucky to be able to own a 65 for a number of years, starting my senior year of high school. mine had a 302 out of a hertz weekend racer mustang and a three speed and was awesome. it was that mustang orange color from back than with the black interior. it was a great high school car and tons of girls would get undressed in it. man, the good ol' days

I shoulda had a Mustang

There's a whole movie about adding sound to electric cars. "The Dilemma"
It seems to me the ultimate of fake. Will they add fake exhaust pipes also? Maybe add some fake smoke?

that brings back fond memories of the J C Whitney catalog. back in the 70's they had dummy CB antennas to give your vehicle "that real CB look" :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Those wheezing Mustang II's out sold the bloated 71-73 "real" Mustangs by a factor of 5 to 1 and felt more solid than any Mustang before 94. They also had the best front suspension until the first dedicated platform under the 05 cars. Nothing ran good in the mid 70's because the car companies were struggling to meet the emissions standards- the 200 six made 120hp in 1970 and 85hp in 1980, the 302 made 200+ in 1970 and 139 by 74, a Corvette 350 LT1 made 370hp in 1971 and 160 in 1975.

Remember....hp spec changes in those years gross and net.

I did some more research....i guess it was just the rumor mill churning on it going in the 150 and mustang...to bad. 6.8L is right around 390CI, coulda been a cool throwback

Don't know where your research is based.
But those engines and platforms exist...and are in development. Whether they make production merely remains to be seen.

The original version of the 7.3 was shelved when mulally took over.....along with several other bad ass platforms.

It was a 500 plus size in some forms iirc... They ruined it when they dusted it off and resumed development in my eyes.

The oil pump as a system is a joke and runs counter to the whole reason for developing this thing in the first place....reliable package able power.

They tried.

Variable in what way? It doesnt just build pressure and keep it? Why the hell would they do that?

I read Bobby's post as if he was saying the oil pressure problems varied from one truck to the next. But your interpretation might make more sense.
