I may carry my commander in the winter. I'm not sure about summer. They say a hip holster isn't very easy to detect even with a full size.
You can summer carry a commander size. I've seen people do it with a full size but it's easy for the muzzle to get uncovered. I generally prefer my 3". I don't have to worry about the shirt hiking up enough for it to be a potential problem. But a 4" commander is definitely do able.

Large Hawaiian t shirt is a great way to hide a full size in the summer.

My neighbor has a glock 21 in 45acp. I had never shot a glock before. I like my single stack 1911 better. It was fat and recoil was worse than a 1911. Light weight plastic. My next one will be a sig 320 or a hellcat. I really like ruger sp101 in 357.

My biggest problem with Glock is the grip angle. It’s not comfortable to me. Otherwise, nothing wrong with them.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
I like the grip angle on the glocks, and how high (or rather NOT high) above your trigger finger finger barrel is. Much better shooting experience than the XDs imo.

I carry a taurus 856 .38 special snubby.

Ive ran alot of rounds through it, never had an issue. +p rated, easy to conceal and comes in around $350 bucks.

Summer carry always seems to be issue for me. I'm a bit to round in the middle for most of the holsters to be comfortable to me and not be digging in somehow. I typically stuff it into my EDC sling bag. But if I don't have the bag on me and it's slung over the headrest in the truck... what good is it if I need it.

I think I'm going to search for a holster for my nightstand gun... and give that a go before I buy another gun. If that don't work... I'm going smaller.

Maybe a ruger sp101. It will fit in your back pocket

Glock 21s are a big fat monster. They are a great open carry piece. I traded my way into one a while back... might be my new carry pistol for hunting. I don't really care for the grip angle either - seems like people either love it or hate it.

I just ordered a holster for my Taurus. I'm not super happy with the grip and thought I would upgrade. Seems the poly protector series don't have options... not that I can find anyway. Also got a couple quickstrips because speed loaders don't work well either from what I've read. Good damn thing it was inexpensive. If nothing else... it will go back in the nightstand or the wife can carry it if she chooses.

Something wrong with a plastic revolver.

I tend to agree more now then before I bought it. It was a RKGuns special buy and they were nearly giving them away. I wanted something that the wife could just point and squeeze. It fits that criteria well really.

I'm going to carry it for a minute and if it fits and comfortable enough... I may just get basically the same gun with a steel frame that I can mod a bit. Then this one goes back to doing what I originally bought it to do.
