Finished the underside of the car with seam sealer, single stage satin black and undercoating. This should help it last another 45 years.

I'll be putting the quarters back on this weekend and starting on primer and bodywork. Hopefully it'll be painted soon!

I'm impressed, you didnt get any paint on the concrete... :)

Ha just just a bunch of dried over spray. It'll sweep right up. I really wish I had the means to build a spray booth

I built a spray booth in my 2 car garage from cheap lumber and plastic sheeting. Intake fan, filters and led lamps, painted 4 cars that came out great. No dust, no overspray anywhere. It can be done on the cheap.

Yeah this is what I was planning for when I actually paint the car. I sprayed my Ranger with just some plastic sheeting up, but still ended up with some dust/lint here and there in the hood and fenders. I have an old swamp cooler that I turned into a dust collector; I can turn it sideways and use it as an extraction fan.

Yep, and, none of these parts have been on the car together before, so I want to make sure the grill, lights, etc all fit and line up. I actually had to add 5mm to the front lip of the hood to get it to line up with the grill. I also had to drill the mounting holes for the license plate holder and lights, since this car came with a slightly different setup there.

Sure coming together. Best of continued luck.

Thanks guys!

No on the house calls - that's two months of bodywork and panel fitment. Not sure if you want me sleeping on your couch for that long

I got rid of the orange peel with 3M 1500 and then 3000 grit trizact, then used their rubbing compound and machine polish

Ha! Back in the day FIAT was well respected. The car I'm replicating won the world rally championship 3 times; 1977, 78 and 80
