Yeah, dual tanks suck to fill, especially at today’s prices, but the way I look at it, I’ll spend the money either way and I’d rather reduce my stops by one.

what did he get rid of? an old nissan hardbody, or something like that? the full size nissan truck has more hp and tq than that engine in that f150 so it would be stepping down if he had a titan.
It was a frontier. It was a northern truck with tons of rust and over 200000 miles. He was in the market for another mid sized but when he ran across the F150 he couldn't pass it up. Plus it's in great shape and only had one family owning it. Grandfather and grandson. Had all the paper work since new. So big upgrade. Motor was just refreshed and added some upgraded parts when done. Hope it is as good a truck as the Nissan was for him. He seems really happy. Now he's looking at lift kits, wheels, and tires haha.

he is probably going to see better as mileage with that f150 if his frontier had the 4.0 in it. my old 3.3 v6 frontier got worse mileage than my 5.6 v8 titan and the 4.0 is supposed to be almost as bad as that 3.3 was

He's already mentioned that the turning radius is way better but that's about it. His frontier was lifted with 33s so I'm sure it will be better for now haha. Till he gets those things done on the F150

Just the right size to touch the ground.
You should ask your buddy to borrow 10 or 20k, probably would forget in a few days.

Lol

My neighbor just bought a 2022 F250, crew cab, Fx4, platinum, plow package, gasser.

Only $120k out the door.
$120k for a gasser? What was the dealer markup? $50k?

Guy's not very smart, so I wouldn't be surprised. I think he took $20k for a trade in on his old truck that they're going to sell for $60k.

I learned my lesson on trade ins a long time ago. I just sell the vehicle I’m getting rid of on the private market now.

The last two were easy for me. Friends bought them and after they saw that repair manuals and a mountain of repair records and receipts came with it, they didn’t dicker. I also quoted a realistic price and didn’t try to make money off them.

"I can give you $900" (I could just scrap it myself for that)
"can I do payments?" (if a bank won't finance you I don't want to either)
*trades?" (sure, will trade for money)

Set it to repeat... for a month each.

I wasnt trying to rip anyone off, ended up getting what I would consider fair retail price.

Both people that got them go on about how much they love them when we run into them around town so I must not have ripped them off too bad.

You guys must not be over ran by illegal immigrants like here in Tennessee. He posted the Nissan the next day a group showed up with cash. He got 6 or 7k out the Nissan they paid with 20s hahaha. They had a huge wad. They don't negotiate because they can't speak English well enough. Poor kid He got the F150 from was struggling to count it all. About halfway through he said screw it I trust you. He did pretty much an even swap.

Actually sold the wife's car to a immigrant couple. She had been here about a month and couldn't do much English. Her boyfriend had been here longer and spoke pretty good.

Very nice, they work at a hog confinement and were tired of having to bum rides. She is a vet there, not sure what he did.

They actually walked halfway across town in winter to look at the car.
