That should be good for 5 extra horsepower .
I had already removed the starter ring to reverse it, putting the worn teeth in a different spot. since I had the blaster out to do some coolant tubing I just threw the flywheel into the cabinet to clean it up.

us 'ol farts do stuff like that.

the grey-t escape
Went to some area yard sales today, started out in the escape but went back for the ranger, Got a upright cambell-hausefield compressor, 5 hp/26 gallon for $25. It needs some help but if nothing else the tank is worth that much. Picked up a heavy iron yard roller for $50 in the next town, made from a old 38” wide conveyor belt drum & angle iron frame. not “water fillable” but has a frame above roller that will fit cinder blocks (or tractor weights). not that it needs to weigh more, me & another guy could barely lift it on to the tailgate. Got a few other small things as well, certainly couldnt of done it with the escape. Unloading was easier, backed up into the yard towards the ditch, tailgate was 2” from the ground once I backed up as much as possible. Walked right out when it was empty too.

These ones definitely weren't galvanized.

Unloaded the 4 wheeler from the back of the '90 finally... then moved it out of the shop, got tired of the drivers door sticking after I put PEX on the door pin so I took a file to the PEX and went until it reached the level of the indents, MUCH better. Next step will be to work on the "auto lock" feature, I disabled that feature for last weekend with some electrical tape around the lock lever deal through the door panel... maybe next weekend...

Since I just got power to a panel in my shop last Tuesday I finally went to town tonight to get some supplies to wire some things in, holy cow... $56 for a GFI breaker, glad I don't have to buy wire (bought a spool of romex for $60 before prices went up, just saw the same spool for like $160... and got a spool of MC for much less than the $200 it is now...). I "think" I can get away with jus wiring stuff with Romex, I'm hoping anyway...

Put hangers on the dual exhaust(2.3l) because the coat hangers were making a little rattle! Put the engine I'm building for it on my new engine stand, no more borrowing one of my dad's.

It's been more of an almost every day project for the last 3 weeks, but I built a new flatbed after over 10 years of contemplating how to make my old one better, it's about 99% done now, so pictures as previously promised. I wanted the ability to have some over the cab storage, to be able to move the spare tire to any location on the bed, and the ability to be able to replace boards without needing to play guess where the old holes in the crossmembers are. If anyone would like more info, i'll do my best at a build post on it.

I opened my new ignition cylinder and played with it. Then I read the protective sleeve telling me not to turn it before installation. Hopefully I didn’t ruin everything

My credo
Giving my truck more money than it deserves.
The 4.0 swap is "done" enough to get a celebratory float today.

Other than the canoe and kayak, that is one of the reasons I have roof racks. I have 17' before I have to start worrying about over hang.

Took mine to Menards and bought a new entry door and paint for the house. also to Harbor freight for a ladder. used the Ranger bed as base scaffolding because the harbor freight ladder was not tall enough to reach the top of the second story shutters so I could paint them.

My 11 year old son used the Ranger bed as a base of operations for a few Nerf Gun wars. a few facts about nerf gun darts... they whistle when they fly by your face, and if you shoot one at a rabbit that is in the yard, the rabbit will jump 2 feet straight up in the air. I wish I had my phone cam to video that one lol

Order the wide window assembly for the truck topper. 250 installed or 200 if I install myself so they are installing but they have no idea when it will be here b cause ARE won't ups or FedEx windows. Has to come on a shipment truck and they don't have a ship date for the next truck to this part of Texas.

So my 250 dollar top just became a 500 dollar top but it's still worth it. Even the guy at the topped place was amazed I found one for a ranger flare side

Cheapest I’ve ever seen one around here is $500. Don’t seem to pop up very often though.
