so on my 02 edge, the grill has faded to the light grey they all fade to, I'd like to take it back to dark grey or even black it out. what spray paint would be best for this? also could I just remove the grill insert without ripping the whole front off the grill really dont want to crack it on removal, which is something that can happen it seems. any other info like replacement parts i'll need for re-installation, best practices would also be super helpful too.

I ended up putting a T-Rex grill in my 06.

I was in a hurry to get it done and still needs a little clean up on the frame.

I did it mainly to reduce the chance of something coming through to the radiator.

That said... I kinda miss the factory grill look but there is no turning back.

I plan to do the clean up and when I do... I'm going to figure out a way to attach the blue oval on it...

I tried a few things with the grills. They do come apart, you just have to have a good pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze and push the "insert" from the "frame" of the grill

@EdgeRanger91 I think I still have the black honeycomb part. If your interested in it PM me. It's not faded at all. Otherwise some pre-paint treatment and some plasti-dip rattle cans will probably freshen it up a good bit.

EDIT: mine is a 2001 Edges, not sure if '02 are the same.
