i wonder if my truck has flaps on it
Mine (2007) didn't come with them. I commented about it when I bought it and the dealership gave me some mud flaps that are for the STX. You can't see the STX lettering on them from behind. It also didn't come with rear wheel well liners and I would like to find some that fit so I don't have to listen to the rocks hitting the underside of the bed near the wheels when I'm driving on forest roads.

I drove back to Sacramento from Fresno into quite stiff winds a good part of the way. Gas mileage came out to around 26.7 mpg at 65-70 mph into head-on winds around 15-25 mph with some gusts that noticeably added some resistance at times. That wind really dinged my fuel economy.

Spray it with plastic-dip. It take quite a few coats to get it thick enough to protect the wheel wells.

It's a large area that extends from the front of the bed to the taillights. I might take a chance grab a set from at Pick a part if they are cheap enough.

Looked at the interior and wondered how hard would it be to reupholster the driver's seat.

My 2011 only came with the rear wheel well liner strips. Getting some front ones and the needed support brackets has been on the “to do” list for a while but I haven’t done it yet.

But all the antennas on the truck match now. I finished painting the bases yesterday so everything is a semi-gloss black instead of the mix matching of black and various shades of silver.

Booya. Nice door. That's real minty...
We're going again soon. The parts yards are loaded with fresh clunkers which have been acquired over winter. This is the season when the shopping is best. Things get picked over by August.

We've got a big shopping list! We're also looking for options and accessories: performance chips, a K&N filter, nerfs, tonneau cover, vintage floor mats, owners manual, etc. I'm pulling a limited slip this weekend if I can. Pulling time!

There's plenty of quality seat covers which are made to custom fit. I'm hoping for Mustang buckets. Most are pretty worn, but if the foam rubber is still good, I'm going to pull them and get custom fit leather covers.

Most of those custom seat covers are air bag compatible. If so, they will say so. Here's one such dealer. https://www.shearcomfort.com/Seat-Options/6011/54/2003/0 There are others, of course.

I lucked out. My seats were badly stained but not too worn. I vacuumed and used the compressed air hose to remove caked in dust, then washed them down with about a half a dozen passes of rubbing alcohol on a sponge.

If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
Ordered a tailgate limiting strap since the driver side broke last summer. It had gotten worn by the gate closing on it and it finally snapped when I put my big arse on it. Now it says it is coming from Syracuse N.Y. so it should be here in a day or two, but this is USPS so the Friday April 29th, there expected delivery date, is actually when I will see it delivered.

I lost my mud flaps 8 years ago
You still haven’t found them? Where did you see them last? Did you try retracing your steps?
