I have two inches of ice outside.

Is this what they were complaining about in Texas last year?

Crossed threads are tight threads.
How much does the weather vary in your day?

Yesterday it was 42F when I left the house, by 2pm it was 82F. 40 degree variance. 3 layer weather.

wind chill was 24 coming to work today. i thought the world ended. and it was raining so it sucked even worse. my wife was hoping the commander would put out an alert for everyone to stay home but i knew that wasn't going to happen. he doesn't come in till 8 so he doesn't know what its like at 0500 when the blue collar guys are going to their cars and driving in to work.

luckily it will be back to warm tomorrow. hopefully that's the end of winter. i hate when it goes on till February

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Our driveway has enough ice on it where if it were a lake you wouldn't fall through.

-11 when I got in the truck to go to work and hang gutters lol.

It's warmed up to a solid 9 degrees now so... its not too bad 😆

Honestly though.. if we didn't take an early day yesterday we wouldn't of come in today. It IS definitely too cold to have to be outside holding onto metal.

Closest I've gotten to frostbite is just a wind-burn.. frost nip mabey? My jacket was hiked up my back a touch one time headed up the Mt. on the chair lift... the bit exposed was red and sore for a few days after. Dunno how I didn't notice 🤷‍♀️ too many drinks mabey lol.

Yesterday morning it was -26F on the way to work. Today it's supposed to get to 28F but it's so windy it won't matter. Then back to low single digit highs tomorrow.

I used to actually like winter. I still like snow and snow-related activities, but I'm over the cold. I'm tired of choking on the air and my extremities being in pain and losing function.

Winter used to be my favorite season until the past 10 years or so. Not sure if it's because we don't get enough snow to really ride snowmachines anymore or if it's because I started working outside all year long 11 years ago lol.
