Whelp, I'm wrong then 🤷‍♀️

Crazy though.. I've never ever heard of the 4.3 v8 being used in the 80s, even Wikipedia says it wasn't used.

Learn something new every day. 2 things today honestly... the other being that buick&olds used a 3.6L all aluminum v8 for a few years back in the day.. it was even factory turbod in the olds. Want to buy one now. That's just too cool to me.. a little American v8... America's all about 5-6-7 liter v8s.. not tiny ones.

Ford had a 3.4L all aluminum V8 for a couple years.

They sold the rights to that aluminum V8 to Land Rover which they tweaked over the years well into the 2000's and versions grew up to 5 liters. Also was used in British sports cars too.

There is a guy around town with a little RWD Toyota car with a little Buick 225 in it, it scoots along pretty good.

I read a little about the adaptation to rovers, thought that was super cool.

That Toyota sounds like a blast. Any idea of the model? Ae86 or something older? Seeing vintage imports is always cool, most of them have been long since rotted away for 25 years at least lol.

I am no Toyota expert. It says "SR5" on his board but that is a trim level nowadays...

A corolla! Much cooler than they are nowadays lol. Even without the American v8 in it.
Wait! What? You mean to tell me, my '08 Corolla CE is NOT cool?

The grille helps, but unfortunately.. its not as cool as the senior corolla mentioned above. It pains me to be the one to tell you.. but I'm here if you want to talk about the undoubted sorrow your feeling after that earthshattering news.

I've always had a heart for the older Corollas. I really like the 82 coupe body style...

Until you get inside... LOL

It was the 80s, lots of vehicles looked alike all squarish...
I see a lot of fox in the rear windows, better than the early cillicas trying to rip off Mustangs though.
